Executive Summary A Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 11 people on the US Base in Ft. Hood, Texas. He also wounded 31 people. Allegedly he did this with two semi-automatic handguns. He eventually was seriously wounded by first responders who shot him at the scene. There have been other recent shootings on military bases by "friendlies".
British Base in Afghanistan An Afghan policeman guarding British soldiers and other policemen open fire on the troops and police with a machine gun on Nov.3rd. The policeman's name was Gulbadin and was associated with the Taliban and is now back in the protection of the Taliban. Five British soldiers were killed in the shooting. It is claimed that the Taliban ahs infiltrated the Afghan police forces.
Discussion The shootings are tragic and our hearts go out to the families of those that were killed and injured. There is going to be some backlash here. Some of this may be helpful to the American people in general.
Base Security The USA tends to be proactive when it comes to guarding what is vital for the operation of the Federal Government and this is where it stops. For the rest of the country they are reactive in that they only react to incidents. This is to make it look like they care. Losing a few soldiers is of little importance to the government. Knowing them they will over react with their Gestapo tactics only this time direct it to the military bases. This will show the military what the government is really about and they will not like. The type of things they will do will be as follows:
Perimeter Security Cars and people will be searched coming into and leaving bases. People will find this annoying. Lines will occur.
Gun Control There will be a crackdown on privately owned firearms not be allowed on bases or in base housing. This you can count on. So gun control will hit the military. They will not like this. They will have to wait for 911 if there is a home invasion, another crazy breaks lose, family disputes etc.
Background Investigations Intensify They will start redoing the background investigations of people in sensitive positions. Investigators will questions friends, relatives, co-workers, family etc. This will be annoying and stressful. Many will be asked to take lie detectors. Lie detectors have never ever been proven to work; neither have the voice stress analyzers ort any other lie detectors. It is just an interrogation tool. The examiners HAVE to find things wrong with those they interrogate or else their jobs are superfluous. This means people will be called into suspicion, lose clearances, get transferred, etc. More annoyances and job stress for people who have done nothing.
Anonymous Tips The informant program will be put into play big time maybe with rewards. People will be dropping the dime on those they do not like anonymously from off base pay phones and anonymous email. People will be getting investigated and their lives turned upside down.
Fear Those on the bases will become paranoid and suspicious. One cannot blame them. Their drinking, drug use and stress will be higher than before.
Discrimination Oh doom and gloom for any muslim in the military. They will be suspects for years.
The Hidden Benefit The USA military which is the ace in the hole to save the Federal Government if a revolution starts, is now going to be turned against their government in a big way. They will become sympathetic to the civilian population resentment of the police state. Police states always become paranoid after they come into power. They begin to suspect their own military and police. Hitler had his own SS military to protect him from the regular military. Their numbers were approaching 400,000. In addition he had the secret police called the Gestapo, which were not armed as a military force.
Hitler's own tried to kill him numerous times coming close more than once. His paranoia kept him alive. Also bear in mind the USA will desperately try to protect the rights of muslims even after this loss of life and this is going to cause more resentment from the military. The USA since assuming massive power by ignoring the constitution is ready to go into a paranoid mode. The internal security police will start investigating the police forces on all levels and then the police get driven crazy like they drove the citizens crazy. Divide and defeat is the theme. These shootings look like a big trigger to start the internal security forces tormenting the military in the name of protecting them which is the approach they use on the citizens to justify their police state. This is going to backfire on the government in a big way. Just watch as the military becomes more and more of a problem to keep loyal to the government. Were the muslims smart enough to plan this?
Vulnerability to Similar Muslim Attacks The USA is full of soft targets ripe for a muslim attack. Imagine if three crazies like this muslim pseudo-martyr go to a shopping mall wearing bulletproof vests and carry assault rifles. They could rack up over 100 dead in a few minutes. Police would have a heck of a time taking them out due to armor and would have to wait for SWAT to show up which would be a long time. Now if this was done before the Christmas season two or three times, people would be afraid to go to the malls and thus a retail recession above and beyond what there already is would be started.
Next the malls would have metal detectors and search people not letting any civilians with guns in with or without a license. People would not like this. What if the muslims did this to a school, hospital, nursing home or other soft targets? The gov't does not really care enough to proactively protect such soft targets instead they will wait until it happens and then react to it. Their reactions will involve more loss of rights as always. Then one could expect ant-muslim blowback, which could get ugly and a race war would be underway.
